About Digital Empire Builder

Digital Empire Builder (DEB) is an internal, pre-revenue software project that researches and evaluates business opportunities using multiple independent public data signals. DEB is not a public commercial service, does not have public customers, and does not claim any endorsement, partnership, or certification from Google or YouTube.

How DEB uses YouTube data

Current

Today, this application provides only a local reviewer and compliance demonstration. No controlled, live YouTube Data API sensor has been executed, and no real YouTube data is shown anywhere in this application, including the Reviewer Dashboard. DEB does not use OAuth, does not access private or authenticated user data, does not collect viewer identities, and performs no write action of any kind (no uploads, no comments, no subscriptions, no channel modifications).

Planned

If and when governance and policy gates permit execution, DEB is designed to make controlled, read-only calls to the official YouTube Data API, limited to public video, channel, and search metadata. The planned integration will not use OAuth and will not access private or authenticated user data.

YouTube-provided data vs. DEB-derived metrics

Throughout this application, every displayed data point is labelled as exactly one of the following, and the two are never blended:

YouTube-provided data information retrieved directly and unmodified from the public YouTube Data API (for example: video title, channel name, publish date, public view count).

DEB-derived metric a value independently calculated by DEB from YouTube-provided data (for example: a normalized engagement score). DEB-derived metrics are never presented as though YouTube itself supplied them.
